The City of Cebu is the capital city of Cebu and the second city in the Philippines, the second most significant metropolitan centre in the Philippines and known as the oldest city established by the Spaniards in the country.

The city is located on the eastern shore of Cebu and was the first Spanish settlement in the Philippines. Cebu is the Philippines' main domestic shipping port and is home to about 80% of the country's domestic shipping companies. Cebu also holds the second largest international flights in the Philippines and is a significant centre of commerce, trade and industry in the Visayas and Mindanao region. According to the 2007 Philippine census, the city has a population of about 798,809 people.

Cebu City is the centre of a metropolitan area called Metro Cebu, which includes the cities of Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu and Talisay. Metro Cebu has a total population of about 2 million people. The Mactan-Cebu International Airport, located in Lapu-Lapu City is only a twenty-minute drive away from Cebu City. To the northeast of the city are Mandaue City and the town of Consolacion, to the west are Toledo City, the towns of Balamban and Asturias, to the south are Talisay City and the town of Minglanilla. Across Mactan Strait to the east is Mactan Island where Lapu-Lapu City and an aquarium attraction are located.

Its Summer and whats the best way to enjoy it? -  through great and relaxing summer vacation. We can suggest one of the right places for a memorable and satisfying summer vacation as we experienced the fun in the sun with be resort Mactan. The beautiful resort is located  in Punta Engano,Mactan Island accessible via Marcelo Fernan Bridge and just near Mactan International Airport. Cebu Bloggers Society members were invited to experience what its like in be .

One of the best thing that I observe which make the place different from the other resorts I went to was their "Activity Center". It will really encourage you to be active with its enjoyable games that is over fun. I really enjoyed playing that I did not notice the time. The resort is also a place where you can be together with your family, barkada or company co-leauges with its withe sand beach, 3 large and relaxing Infinity pool,Jacuzzi and Kids' pool. I also get to enjoy the kayaking and other water adventure. I personally like the Infinity pool with its unique design and how refreshing it is at the same time since its direct to the sun. Of course, you will also be delighted with their scrumptous food though were only offered with snack but it was not just an ordinary snack for me as they carefully prepared using the freshest and best ingredients as well as their beverages and drinks that would get a thumbs up for your taste. The best has yet to come with their great designs in the rooms which I personally very cozy and makes feel to be home. Every pieces of the furnitures are definitely impressive and uniquely created well, no wonder why because we were able confirmed that some of them are creations of Internationally renowned  Kenneth Cobonpue.
During the tour by their sales manager, the rooms are really at rasonable cost and the enjoynment is indeed satisfying - entertainment in the activity center, fun in the white sand beach, water and underwater adventure, delightful food and good srvice.

By the way, they have their summer promo for locals (Cebu based guests) at P 3000 net twin sharing with breakfast @ limited rooms only.

Fire Prevention Month 2010

Posted by admin at 2:48 PM 0 comments

Summer is approaching we feel the hot temperature and the dry surroundings and we all aware that the month of March is the fire prevention month.
Well let me discuss you a little tidbits tip about Fire Prevention, first we should know the composition of a fire.

Composition of Fire: Its a Chemical reaction  of the combination of the three substances that we called

TRIANGLE OF FIRE .

What is triangle of fire? Triangle of is the substances that can create fire

The Triangle of are

Heat, Oxygen and Fuel

lets make it simple imagine  if you have three of these ( paper, lighter and air ) ignite the paper using the lighter, blow some air to the paper and BoOm you have a fire in your house ^^,
but don't worry If one of them is missing there will be no fire created.

I'd Like to share some tips on how to put fire at ease, when you see a fire burning your house please don't panic just calm down and think.

First: Call to your nearest Fire Station for help. While waiting see if the fire can be controlled  by you and your neighbor if the fire is bigger keep away from it, as soon as possible leave the area.

Other case if you see fire coming from your stove please don't put water on it you just making it big.

Things to do

Don't panic just calm down and think straight
Call to your nearest Fire Station
If you think its not to big and you can handle it just turn off all your device, cover the stove with wet cloths so that the oxygen will be remove i think?  LOL.

How to cover the stove:
Put the wet cloths over the stove and that's it.

Well that is just a TidBitz tip, but still if you see a fire burning your house please don't forget to call to the Fire Station for help.

And the most and effective way how to get rid of Fire is to prevent it, check your kitchen if there is an open tank and close it, turn of all the light and be sure there no plugins left when you leave the house and keep your children away from ignition materials such as match, candles and fireworks before its to late.
